Weatherford International, the global oil and gas service company approached us to create the brand for it’s onshore drilling business. With numerous contractors in a cluttered market, clients don’t have a benchmark they can rely upon.
With a standardised fleet and flexibility to tailor each project, WDI delivers consistent onshore drilling solutions. It isn’t about grand gestures and fake promises, but delivering on what they say and getting the job done in the best way they can. WDI understands that their customers don’t need another contractor; they want a strategic partner that drills wells safely, in a dependable and timely manner.
We created a logo that is a typographic manifestation of WDI representing everything the company stands for. It is designed to be clear, simple, modern, bold and tapers downwards, representing the drilling process.
The logo is constructed on a 33 degree triangular grid reflecting strength in a downward direction, finishing at a vanishing point. The grid is a fundamental part of the WDI visual language.
